I'm not familiar with the different rules and such. About the only thing I know is that it's a 50-yard field, kick-off from the goal-line, and forward motion is allowed during the hike on offense. What other major gameplay changes should I be aware of?

I went to one, it's pretty interesting. I don't think there are many different rules besides the ones you mentioned.

It's a stupid game imo.

Nothing big other than what you mentioned, just look for no running, no defense and stupid kickoffs that at caught off the net.

Its really annoying that espn is cramming this crap down our throats by actually showing it on tv and sportscenter all the time. None of the football
or sports fans I know pay attention to it, I guess little kids like it.

My wife got 6 tickets from work, so we're taking my sister and her husband, and their two kids. Should be fun. Looks like the team I'm going to watch are actually an AF2 team, which is basically a minor league for the AFL.

I agree with you. The lack of defense is what really kills the game for me. A lot of times the other team is constantly scoring similar to what a basketball game would be like.

A high scoring game or two wouldn't bother me much, but when every game is like 55-38, then it gets boring. I'll watch it occasionally, I guess, but I usually change the channel after ten minutes or so.

The clock doesn't stop until the last minute of each quarter (or is it half).

A player is not out of bounds if he runs into the wall, unless he is forced into the wall by a player from the opposing team.

Blitzes are not allowed by the defense other than one designated LB.

D Linemen cannot "stunt" when rushing the passer.

the game is very fast paced with a lot of scoring.

It's fun for a family...and it should keep you entertained being there. Have fun.

it's overtly commercialized. Everything has a sponser, I mean everything.

This yellow penalty flag was brought to you by 1800 tequilla

It's really hard to call offsides...there's basically a guy that gets a running start and 1-2 steps past line of scrimmage. It was interesting, but I wouldn't become a regular.

Got back a little while ago, and although it was alright, I'm in no hurry to go back. The visiting team was absolutely horrible, as the local team beat them 48-12. Their QB couldn't throw an accurate pass to save his life, while our guys ran up and down the field.

Probably the highlight of the night is when one of our guys absolutely nailed a guy on the other team in the torso and took him straight to the ground. It was as vicious a hit as I've seen. The guy laid there for about 3 minutes before getting up and hugging the wall for another couple minutes. Then his grand finale was puking on the field, which initiated more hilarity as people tried to clean it up, with one of the refs at one point going over and trying to kick the remaining chunks under the wall, then getting it stuck on the bottom of his shoe. :D
