I personally would not trust a Generic PSU with a nice card like that, but yes, I would think it would be fine. What are your specs on the PSU?

how can I find the specs for it, it was the cheapest new case with a PSU I could find a year ago.

I'm getting the card from futureshop, so if something happens to it within a year it's going back plus I want to get a new case any ways so if it dosn't work I will get a new one.

there should be a sticker somewhere on the PSU giving you specs of the different voltage rails

though having said that, the generic PSU i have in another computer doesnt have any specs on it. and well its dying

You should be fine, just make sure the card will fit in your case :)

I have the BBA x800xl running in my shuttle with the 250 shuttle psu. Hardest part was getting it in the shuttle. That being said, I'd upgrade both your ram and psu as soon as you can.
