I'm going to France on Saturday for two weeks, and I'd like to have sporadic internet access from my laptop. Anybody have some info on how to do this?

Otherwise, what is the state of public (libraries?) or pay-for access in France? I'm talking about the basics like hotmail etc.

Thanks!

yeah but unless you have a bunch of batteries for your laptop you might be in trouble. I do believe that their outlets in France use a different rating and thus you will need a converter for the power supply. Also they might use diff. jacks for phones then the us rj11. good luck

Still waiting for some info on this. We have the AC adapters and phone converters.

How about the state of cyber-cafes (or equivalent) in France?

So does most of the world :)

They use 220-240 volts over there. Most laptops have adapters for 110/220. As for RJ11 connections its just a $2 piece of cable no big deal.

A lot of business orientated hotels usually have a T1 for its guests just ask your hotel.
