I've never travelled before, so any general tips would be really appreciated. For those of you who have been to Costa Rica, any tips that may help me out would really be helpful. Thanks guys .

Never been, but from "general" experience I would say wear thin pants (no shorts), get some of the good deep woods/jungle bug repellent stuff...you know...

Thanks dude.

i've been there once, and it was a great experience. The capital is a dump so dont let it fool you. Be careful with your money , where you put it on your body, make sure its in a safe place as withing the capital there is a lot of left. Dont wear shorts especially if you are a girl because girls in the U.S. wear short shorts and they are not used to that down there. If you can hit up MonteVerde, its really nice, its inland but the jungle has alot of stuff you can do , and there are some really nice hotels like Cloud Forest hotel. You can go on a canopy tour as well as a Sky Trek which is a bunch of zip lines (really fun). You also might want to go to a beach , i recommend Jaco Beach or any of them are pretty nice (IIRC). Costa Rica is a beautiful place, soak as much culture up as you can, i had a blast, best trip of my life and ive been all over.
