Going to Chicago on Monday

Best places in Chicago to eat and *ahem* drink adult beverages would be nice. Dance clubs/night clubs are also needed.

excalbur is great if you want to get hit on by 40-yr old yuppies...

I suggest to take the redline up to fullerton (or drive) and go hang out in Lincoln park, its a college area (Depaul) and there is always something going on as well as rows of bars. I would also suggest Deja-Vu (open till 4am) I forget where it is though... halsted? You can also goto Wicker Park and hang out there.. many bars, a good time.

Stay away from the big clubs, you will come out broke, not drunk. I tend to frequent "holes in the wall" as it were though, but to me the beer is cheaper and people much more interesting.

Tequila Roadhouse isn't bad.
Hell, I never get down to the city anymore.
You might want to go out for a good steak, or a good pizza. Both Chicago icons.

Any of the local pubs in Wrigleyville are worth going to. Nice younger crowd.

No way I always go out, probalem is you need $$$ to go anywhere and do anything.

Go to the Apartment/Lion Head's Pub (it's one place) in Lincoln Park for a bar with decent dancing. Barleycorn in Wrigleyville is nice with dancing too.

Good food: Weber Grill is good. Giordano's for pizza.
