My g/f and I are going for a little get-away trip. We plan on hitting the art institute, sears tower, SuperDawg, etc...

Anything that we might not think of that we definitely shouldn't miss?

I live in Rockford, I'd be proud to show them off if you want to make the drive. I have pics of upsciLLion in compromising positions that would make it doubly worth your while.

ROFL...wow..great suggestions..even from DB! hhahahaha...

The city pass looks like a good idea since we want to hit most of that stuff and have kicked ourselves in other cities for not getting it before.

Speaking of which, Buddy Guy was playing a bunch of concerts at his place down there. Not sure if that is still going on or not. I would love to go to that.

I would suggest instead of H.O.B
B.L.U.E.S.
2519 N Halsted St, Chicago, IL
or
Rosa's Lounge
3420 W Armitage Ave

Fronterra Grill is excellent, but you'll NEED reservations.

Get the city pass, check out Navy Pier (if you've never been there). The Chicago Symphony Center is a great concert hall on Michigan Ave. Check them out to see if they have anything that interests you while you are there. http://www.cso.org/

I'm usually not tempted to eat Mexican food while in the midwest since I eat the "real" stuff here in AZ. Hehehe..but it looks good, so I'll look into it. Thanks for the recommendation.

I TOTALLY want to take her to see Wicked..but don't really want to pay $200-$300 per ticket for it. :(

I found that the Sears tower isnt too interesting for my 60 bucks 7 years ago ( 2 tickets and a parking ticket). May be they have something news now but getting on the longggggggggggggggg line and paid that much money to go up there and look down is not really something i enjoyed. By the way, try to go up there on a sunny day.
Gonna go offtopic here: any chicagoans know a korean place that has good food and not too expensive ?
