Going to Chicago for New Year's Eve

It looks like there are a ton of places, I'd like to get tickets to a New Year's Eve event beforehand. Anyone have any recommendations that has been there before?

Is it worth paying $150 bucks a person if it has an open bar vs. going somewhere else?
