I need some good heavy/rock songs to put on a CD on the 4-hour drive to Cedar Point...unfortunatly my servant known as mother will be driving so keep the vulgarity in the songs to a minimum

Don't have any songs for you but I'm heading up to Cedar Point on Monday.

I'm driving from Columbia, Missouri (where I'm at now)to Flint, Michigan (to meet up with my cousin). I'm leaving at 10pm tonight. Then we are getting up around 5:00 a.m. on Monday morning to head for Sandusky!

I can't wait!

Cedar Point whoops butt! 3 of the top 5 metal coasters in the U.S. (Magnum XL2000, Millenium Force, Raptor)

Can't wait to ride the new millenium force. I haven't been for like 3 years.

The Raptor is still the best coaster I've ever ridden!

I will also be there Monday. I live in Cleveland, OH so it is not a long trip for me. I was in Flint, MI yesterday. Very odd how peoples lives can twist together.

The Millenium Force rules! There is no other ride like it.

Yeah I was on the MF last summer. Kicks ass. Raptor and Magnum are great also.

I'm going up again next week, not sure which day yet.

I'll help you out. We can mix it up a bit.

Start out old skool with Deep Purple - Smoke on the water. Put some Rage against the machine in (your choice of song). Throw on some Taproot. And how about Collective Soul - Heavy. And don't forget, anything from Tool.

LOL!! I live right next door to Flint in Swartz Creek. It has been a few years but in the late 70's and early 80's we used to go to the Point a couple times a summer. Rockin all the way there and back to the musical stylings of Bob Seger, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Boston, Led Zeppelin, J. Giles Band, Rush, Foghat, Blue Oyster Cult, Aerosmith, Rolling Stones, Journey, Van Halen. Mmmm the good old days think i will load up my favorite 70's mp3 play list now. Have fun at the Point.

I live about 45 minutes from Cedar Point, and I've been there more times than I could care to remember. Unfortunatly, I absolutly hate roller coasters. Doh!

Deep Purple...the whole Made in Japan CD (esp. Child in Time, Smoke on the Water, and Space Truckin'...only the ones off that CD though, because the studio versions of all of them suck)
Rainbow - Stargazer
Most any Dio from Holy Diver or Last in Line, esp. Last in Line, Holy Diver, and Rainbow in the Dark (his best stuff is on those two albums...and the first two Rainbow CDs)
Metallica, of course...
Queensryche - Promised Land, I Am I, Damaged, Anybody Listenning, I Dream in Infrared, Take Hold of the Flame

And of course maybe some Collective Soul and Tool, as was already suggested.
