Going to Cable

I am building a new PC and when I get it done I am going to Cable Internet from Dial up.

Will I need to get anything special to do this? I will be using a Asus K8V Deluxe MoBo.

I know that my cable provider provides you with a cable modem.

Make sure you have a firewall installed. 🙂

So I wont need anything special?

What firewall do you reccomend? I was thinking of getting Norton Firewall 2004 or Macfee 2004

Then software Firewall and Antivirus will do.

In addition when you have faster broadband you might be troubled more by PopUps aDS etc.

Norton Internet Security can take care of the Firewall, AntiVirus, PopUp, Ads, and other pests. (but it is not Free).
