I'm going to order my S Series notebook tomorrow, and I was wondering if there was anything accessories other users might suggest. I'll be using this between home and school, lugging it back and forth.

Has anyone used the 2nd battery or modular bay battery? Your thoughts, opinions?

If I go ahead and buy more accessories, I'm going to see if I can sway the CSR or super to give me some sort of "discount" hehe.

thanks

I also just purchased a fujitsu s series....solid laptop. The second battery might be a good option...im looking into it. Where did you purchase yours? I bought mine for 1799...it's the 40 gig/512MB/1.0Ghz processor version...

i'm going to buy mine directly from Fujitsu; it seems that not many places have it in stock. As for the battery, should I get a second main one, or the backup that goes into the drive bay?

Should I go ahead and get an extended warranty?

thanks

How did you get the extra 256 MB of ram in your system? Did you buy that as an add on? Does the s series 6010 have an extra slot for a memory module?

If your going to be lugging your notebook back and forth then I seriously suggest looking into the P series. It is designed with one thing in mind -- mobility. Unlike conventional laptops that run out of juice in like 1 1/2 hours, the current technology behind the processor enables it to go for something like 7 hours on a single charge. On top of that, the laptop itself is EXTREMELY portable. Its basically the size of a standard laptop keyboard.

Anyway, thats enough rambling from me. I seriously suggest you check it out.

my cousin has the P 2000. Its pretty cool, but its a bit too small for me and I don't like the eraser head mouse.

If the S Series didn't exist, then I would lean towards the p series.
