Ok, i'm looking for a good CD player for around 150 dollars. I've been looking at this one at circuit city. Does anyone have any other recommendations?

Alpine is always good, that CDE7870 will do wonder to your comparable setup. However, make sure you double check with Alpine or the manual(not Circuit City's salesperson) whether the deck can play CDR or not. Most cheap Alpine lacks that capabilities.

I think there are some mp3 compatible units for about 150. You should look into that also.

I too would stay away from Sony, however, their MP3 unit for $200-250 called the MP30 has been flawless and rock solid (and LOUD) for me since June. I love it and recommend it. However, I'd go with Alpine or Blaupunkt.

If you are clever enough you can find an MP3/CD player for around that price. I think that MP3 is the way to go after getting mine.
