I went to newegg.com and searched for 9600 Pro and theres were like 7 differant Sapphires and 7 differant Powercolors. What is the differance between them all? The specs are all the same except some are 256mb versions and some have slower memory. Is the bundle all that is differant otherwise?
http://www.newegg.com/app/manu...?catalog=48&DEPA=1 put 9600 Pro in the chipset box. (Is it possible to link to searches on newegg?)
(This is for my dads PC, he doesn't need anything faster than a 9600 Pro.)

Well, what's he using it for? (By the way, when I click on your Rig, I expect to see YOUR Rig)

9600 Pro Newegg Search

$ Brand Chipset Version

106: Powercolor 9600 Pro - EZ, Retail
113: Info-Tek 9600 Pro - Retail
106: Sapphire 9600 Pro - Bulk
109: Sapphire 9600 Pro - Retail
120: Elsa 9600 Pro - Retail
127: Info-Tek 9600 Pro - 256MB, Retail
128: Info-Tek 9600 Pro - 256MB, Retail, different bundle

Retail: Card comes in box with papers, just as if you went to a store and bought it. This makes it more expensive.

Bulk: Not quite sure what this means, but I think it doesn't come with a box, but comes with CD and cables. Not as expensive as retail.

EZ: Slower memory makes this version cheaper compared to regular. RAM speed is very important to gaming.

256MB: This is a gimmick performed by various manufacturers that makes people think the card is more powerful, but isn't true. It's usually marketed by showing 256MB over 128MB, but they don't show you the decrease in speed of the RAM. And since it's about the same price, people think it's better. The truth is that the memory isn't gonna be used.
