I'm going to Boston for a 4 day trip after Christmas. Does anyone have any suggestions on sites to see, places to eat, unique stuff, etc? Thanks.

I live in Middleboro which is near Cape Cod. When visiting Boston, make sure you go to Fanuel Hall - but make sure you bring your appetite..lots of delicious food there.

You can also check online for tours and the such. It really is a beautiful city - just really busy. Enjoy your stay and welcome to Massachusetts.

Was there last weekend, great place - if youre renting a car I have one suggestion dont speed. We were fined $265 leaving Boston for NY. In addition to that when returning the car to dollar we found a dent in it - bottom line - if you rent a car for your trip, get it checked BEFORE you take it out.

Boston is a lovely city, Boston Common is outstanding - lots of cute lil squirrels. The Aquarium is excellent - must go see! They have cute lil penguins. Enjoy!!

if you like seafood boston is great.

"also, i went to this restaurant on the pier, i think it's called Anthony's? not sure. anyone know which one i'am talking about? it's a really famous seafood reataurant right on the pier."

my guess is you are talking about Anthony's Pier 4.

some other good seafood restaurants are Legal Sea Foods and No Name (couldn't find their website, they probably just don't have one).

Jimmy's Harborside used to be better than Pier 4, Legal is also awesome !

Regina's has the best pizza I've ever eaten! Super paper thin stuff with extra grease! Make sure you go the original!

Naked Fish is a great restaurant. Commonwealth Brewery is good, as is the Purple Shamrock and the Black Rose. Harvard Square has interesting "street entertainers" and a great Mexican restaurant called Casa de Mexico. Visit the North End and say hi to the Prince spaghetti lady. Boston is a great city, you'll have plenty to do for 4 days.

A trolley tour will take you around the most popular sites in Boston, plus you'll get a pass for a Boston Harbor tour. If you have time, walk the Freedon Trail, a 2.5 mile walk through historic downtown marked by red brick inlaid into the sidewalks. Take the subway to Umass/JFK and visit the JFK Library. And by all means, eat some canolli:D

If you like Italian food you can find a lot of really great restaurants in the North End. It's a nice part of town so you might want to just walk around there and find a restaurant that looks good to you. Also, I'd recommend you familiarize yourself with the MBTA system a little bit. It's not very hard and it can get you just about anywhere in Boston. Driving in the city can be a pain, esp. if you've never done it before.

Things to see:
- Fanuel Hall / Quincy Market
- Public Gardens / Boston Common
- NE Aquarium
- Museum of Science
- Harvard Sq. and the University (it's outside of Boston Proper, in Cambridge, but accessable via the MBTA "T")
- If you're traveling with kids you might also want to check out the Children's museum

One of the nicest things about Boston is the most of what you'll want to see will be within walking distance of other stuff you'd like to see. Boston is a very pretty town and you'll be able to see it the best by walking around. I hope you enjoy your visit to the greatest city in America :)

Well I'm coming from NYC, so I'll have to see for myself.

How's the entertainment? Shows, comedy clubs, bars. I'm staying at the Swissotel near Boston Common if that's of any help.

Harvard Square is a must-see. Good shopping, good food, and if you're into people-watching, then you'll definitely see a few interesting things.
