Aside from going to the Predators / Red Wings game on Wednesday, is there anything I should try to do while I'm up there?

uhm... well, where EXACTLY will you be staying? like IN detroit? or in a suburb?
what do you enjoy doing? will you have a car at your desposial?

There are some really good restaurants in the area and some cool cities around detroit. Plus, things like Greenfield Village and The Henry Ford are neat to see as well.

I want to say we will be staying in Clinton Township, I could be wrong, but I know that it will be somewhere in that area.

I will have a "driver" for most the trip (the guy I'm staying with up there), and I know he has a few things lined up already. I'd like to try some of the local cuisine and brews.

Overall I'm just looking for something to keep my occupied for the 3 days after the Pred's game that we will be up there.

Yea. Clinton Twp is a nice area. Go over to Windsor for a while. Stop at the Casino there.
You could visit Royal Oak (a city in Oakland Co... about 20 minutes from Clinton twp) and have dinner or a drink there. It is a very diverse city... lots going on. I guess you could call it the "hip" place to be. Also Birmingham has a nice downtown area with some great bars and restaurants.(It's a bit higher class and nice).

Other than that... i cannot comment. There might be some good plays/shows going on downtown but meh...
Get some great food before the hockey game in Greektown there.

Windsor eh... if you are looking for some great food, you should check out Little Italy which is located on Erie Street. There are a ton of nice Italian restaurants - some quaint diner-like atmosphere and some classy.

The casino is under renovations right now since it was purchased by Caesar's, but it is still open. I've heard the shows are good.

You could go skating downtown at Charles Clark Square (if you skate).

The Windsor riverfront is a few kilometres long and is landscaped, containing walking paths and sculpture gardens / memorials. This is where you will get the best view of Detroit, including the Joe :p

Downtown is pretty busy on the weekends because all the American kids come over here to get wasted. I don't party down here any more but if you decide to check out a club, my friend owns Jackrabbit Slim's which is a nice spot. There is a bar for whatever taste you have in scenery, or you could check out one of the strip joints if so inclined.

If you have any specific questions about Windsor, feel free to PM me.

It depends on what you're into. The DIA (Detroit Institute of Arts) is really good. Greenfield Village and Henry Ford Museum are both enjoyable, if you're into that sort of thing. Pizza Papalis in Greek town has excellent pizza and is a good place to eat.

I haven't been to Windsor a whole lot. They have a decent casino. If you've never tried five-pin bowling, it's pretty fun.

That's about all I can think of.

I haven't been to it yet but I am definitely going to check it out before it is gone.

I know... iamwiz82 and i were wanting to go to that.
Let me know when you are planning on going... maybe we could say hi to you! :)

PS, the DIA is kind of doing some hardcore rennovations right now. There is a photograph exhibit of Ansel Adams soon.
