Where the hell do you guys live where 40F isn't cold? I'd freeze in that temp.

I'm live in Houston and I don't think 40 degrees is very cold at all. We went shopping the other night and it was in the low 40s and I didn't even wear a jacket because it didn't feel that cold and I knew the stores were going to be hot in a jacket.

If it gets in the 50's around here it's extremely cold.

Why? How cold it feels really depends on the humidity. I was in Colorado several years ago in May and was up at the ski resorts. It was 30-32 in the mornings when we woke up. I would get dressed and walk from the condo to a place to pick up some breakfast goodies.....in shorts and a short sleeved shirt. The locals were all bundled up. I was laughing because with no humidity if didn't even feel cold at all.

In Los Angeles, colder than 60's is cold and higher than 80's is hot.

you sure it was locals? in a "ski resort" ..the locals go north for the winter.

you probably saw tourists.

These people looked like they were going to work. There isn't that much tourism where we were when there is no snow. The cars they were getting into had Colorado plates on them.

I live in southern Florida, and am going up to Pennsylvania for a few weeks for the Holidays. Can't wait to go north for some of the winter, I miss being able to ski.

You'd be cold, but you wouldn't freeze unless you were wearing very little and doing nothing for a long time.

Well technically you'd never freeze in 40, but you'd eventually get hypothermic.

all the rental car locations have cars with colorado plates. the only thing that differentiates a rental car anymore is usually a small sticker with the rental car company logo, ie: a small E for enterprise

OP could go out and get some Zyban (it's a smoking aid and antidepressant).

I'm usually cold as hell, but I sweat my balls off after taking one of those. I'm not even sure it makes quitting smoking easier since cigarettes are a lot more enjoyable after taking a Zyban.....
