heh... this is cute.

provided you've made it down this far, let me introduce myself. I've been "in" paintball for about 5 years. The last two years of which I have either played or reffed every weekend. If its saturday or sunday, you can find me at the field.
A year ago I was offered a position in the newly forming USPL league on the Wisconson Wolves. 35K/year to play pro. I had to turn it down because college is more important, but I still travel to play some events with the guys.

As much as the other guys have given advice, I think you're better of going in there un-prepped. The only thing I caution you about is make sure that you and all of your friends have your own field/refs, and are all new (less than 4 games). That will provide for the absolute best first time experience.
The only other thing i'm going to say is KEEP YOUR MASK ON.
In case that wasn't clear KEEP YOUR MASK ON
oh and by the way keep your mask on

Keep in mind the object is to have fun.
Welcome to the fold, this is the greatest game on earth.

KEEP YOUR MASK ON

In your dreams.

"I think you're better of going in there un-prepped"
You've played 5 yrs and this is your advice?

i like to wear some knee pads, makes it easier to drop down really quick and stay low. aiming with rental guns is really hard to do. hell, aiming with any gun is really hard to do, can't rifle a paint gun very well.
