Going overseas. What to do about a LCD TV

So I might be headed over to Europe for about 3 years. I have been contemplating buying an LCD tv for awhile now but have stopped looking because I don't know what to do about the overseas bit.

I have not seen any multisystem LCD tv's anywhere. Where do I find them?

Also, it HDTV the same everywhere around the world. (ATSC??)

What should I do? Wait? Buy now? Find a multisystem?

Well, if you intend on coming back to the US, get one compatible with US Systems. I am sure there are converters to go between US/Non-US signals.

Just checked a load of TV's from websites over here (UK). Every single LCD TV is NTSC compatible, so I doubt you will have any trouble.

Afaik, HD is a global standard. I might be wrong though.

All TV's sold in the last 6-7 years are multi-standard. My 28" CRT JVC TV which is about 6 years old does PAL, PAL60 and NTSC (two colour standards). I'd be shocked to the core if you bought an LCD that wasn't multi-standard, but just ask the guy in the shop, check menus, etc.
