Going on 19 hours

I STILL CAN'T FIND THE PROBLEM!

We have something sending spam emails on our network and I can't find it! Our email server is as clean as far as I can tell... and our firewall isn't turning up any odd connections.

The Colbert Report isn't updating so I'm listening to re-runs in the background from a couple weeks ago.

The cleaning crew that doesn't speak English just asked me if I know who moved the vacuum (moved just a couple feet mind you). I told them I have no idea, but really, I know exactly who it was. IT WAS ME! I needed to vacuum up saw dust from a wiring job this morning. Next time I'll dismantle it and leave it in pieces! Oh, and you don't have to explain to me why you're late, no one knows when you get here anyway, I certainly don't give a crap that you got here at 1:30 instead of 12 just so long as you're out of here by the time the first employee gets here at 6. AND NEXT TIME GET ALL THE COMET OUT OF THE URINAL AND REMEMBER THE URINAL CAKE!

Exercising my rusty Lisp - just introduced some circular dependencies in the innards of someone else's code, and am picking through the least intrusive way of ripping it out. There's also some issues with the jlinker (Lisp to Java) connection I'm trying to sort thru.

BBC News Stream, as I find Colbert and Stewart (and the rest of Hulu) far too distracting to get any real work done.

I agree it's distracting, but if I couldn't listen to the threat down and take my mind off of the current problem and logs I'd have already hung myself on that curtain string.

I'm interested in seeing, if available, how many write-in votes he gets next month.

I would have voted for him... I'm not a fan of Stewart though, so if he was on the ticket I would have had to hold my nose when I did it.

Class starts in three hours, but I can't sleep now.

You sure the spam is coming from you and not someone else spoofing your domain name?

Yeah. We have our own smart host with MX Logic and it's not a domain spoof, it's setup via ip address.

Best I can figure is that my coworker set us up as an open relay server... As I had to change some settings to get us secured again.

But checking our firewall I found in the logs that something is visiting free-teen-porn dot com 16,000+ times. That's my next task.

I'm pretty sure the spam problem is resolved now though, I'm just removing our test exch 07 server.
