Going to court for a "supposed" speeding ticket...
...
I don't have a full suit...
Would just the shirt and tie be good enough...???

Anything less than a custom tailored italian suit will win you no points with the judge. Have fun getting reamed.

yeah, probably. just don't wear any jewelry or anything that makes you look like a used car salesman.

Yes... buying/renting a suit for a traffic violation is way over the top.

Just try to look your best.

Haha... not true. I went to a court date for a ticket in Philadelphia, and if you show up in anything more than khakis and a dress shirt your'e dressed better than 90% of the people there. So if you're a in a big city, odds are that you don't have to try hard to look good.

Those 90% of the people are also the ones getting reamed. Do the best you can to look good as it shows the judge that you are a person of good status, not some drunkard.

if you dress like a bum they will think you cant afford to pay the ticket and will let you off easy.

just dress decent, and chill.. think about the burn unit at your local hospital, or your local battered wives shelter.

no matter how good or bad your court appearence goes for a speeding ticket, your life will probably be ok.

A polo shirt or any decent button up shirt is fine...khakis or jeans are fine. Chances are you'll be herded into the courtroom with 40 other people, get blabbed at by the bailiff for 20 minutes, then get called up in sets of 5 people to expediate the process.

Don't even be nervous. The worst that can happen is you lose and have to pay the fine you were asked to pay in the first place.

Don't be nervous in court. Exude confidence, but not arrogance.

I hope you've done your research and plan to go in with more than just your verbal account of the events.
