Going Going..... Nope, false alarm

Alright, a friend and i are making a server.
ITs an Athlon XP 2000+ with 256 Megs DDR Ram and a A7V333 Motherboard running a Geforce 2 GTS, Soundblaster Live card and a 3com Networking card.
When in safe mode, everything is alright. But when booting into windows at random times (within 3 minutes of login) the system just freezes. We don't know why, we've updated all we can. We have even disabled Windows Messanger (thought that was the problem).
We just can't figure it out. Why is it this rig is doing this? All other computers we've used windows XP on works just grand.
Any suggestions would be great - thanks

I'm not sure what the problem is, but I have to wonder why you choose the sound and video cards that you did for a server.

We tried installing the VIA Drivers and it messed up Windows Bad (BSOD). So if there is any info on that, it would be great.
The Video card and teh Sound card were left overs from another computer... saved us some money, though we know they are overkill for a server.
Going to try a few other things. But any other help would be great - Thanks.

I would atleast take out the sound card and find a 2D graphics card if possible. They are just going to slow the server down and possibly cause conflicts.
