Current Specs:

Gigabyte KT400
AMD XP 2000
512 Corsair (1 stick) 3200 XMS series
Creative Audigy

So what should I do? Should I upgrade the processor to the AMD XP 2500 (333 FSB) -Barton Core and get another (1 stick) 3200 ddr or should I get the Nforce 2 mobo and upgrade the processor later?

Would it be worth it? Would I really notice the difference by going w/ the NForce 2? I would like to take advantage of the Nforce 2's dual memory slots, but that's it. I'm not interested in the audio since I have the Audigy and the KT400 is rich in features.

So if I'm gaming would I notice the difference between the Nforce 2 and the Kt400. I've seen the reviews and the Nforce 2 is faster, but I'm talking real world usage. Not synthetic tests. I'm a real user doing real applications. I'm not into testing much.

Assuming that your XP 2000+ is a Palomino core, I think you would get better results by selling that cpu and getting a Barton 2500+, since it's only $130 now. If the Barton's multipliers are unlocked on your motherboard, it's likely that you can raise the multiplier at least one step (.5) without adding voltage.
