i've currently got a dell with onboard nvidia 6150le graphics. my friend who recently upgraded has been kind enough to give me his old radeon x800 card until i can get one of my own down the road.

basically i'd like to do this without having to format & reinstall windows, so i'd like to know the sure fire way of making sure there are no driver conflicts. any quick/painless way to do this?

Uh.. I have a GeForce 6150 Chipset and went from onboard to an X800GT with no problems.. but that was a while ago.. and your mileage may vary...

I've never used driver cleaning utils... (never had a problem?).. at most I probably just uninstalled the Nvidia control panel from Add/Remove programs..

PS. Those pictures aren't NSFW!! :) Well.. nowhere I've worked anyway ;)

try.. d/ling ati driver.. uninstalling the nvidia graphics driver. boot into safe mode, run driver cleaner and clean nvidia video driver. then reboot and install newest ati driver
