Can it be done? Can someone who is a nerd make the transition and become a hunk!

For instance... Can this guy go from:

nerd

to,

hunk

maybe, but I think there are limits and some people weren't blessed with good genetics. Blame the parents!

most of the time, yes it can be done for both men and women.
It usually is a matter of new haircut/style new type of clothes, getting rid of glasses, things like that. Plus, some lessons in confidence cannot hurt either.
What you think of yourself really can covey how others see you.

That's true. Confidence is the most important ingredient when meeting people. You can be absolutely gorgeous, but if you don't have the confidence to match those looks, then it brings everything about you down. I've met beautiful women in the past who have had serious confidence issues. They constantly needed people to tell them that they are pretty, and god forbid if one person tells them likewise. A bum on the street could tell a non-confident pretty woman that she's ugly and her whole day is ruined.

Yes.

You just have to have a good outlook of yourself for one. Get a hair cut, some nice clothes (not pricey stuff, but nice either way), work out a bit, do some cardio and get some confidence.

The comesitic issues (hair, clothes, body; can take longer depending on what you look like to start with) are quicker to fix then the confidence issues. If you have it you can chat to girls easily and it isn't that difficult if you practice it and feel good about yourself. After all it is only a convosation and a bit of chit chat.

I guess. But that's just overkill. The beefy men kind of freak me out. I'll take one of you pale skinny computer nerds any day over that.

No matter how good you look on the outside, you'll always be a nerd on the inside. Just wait for your 10 year HS reunions. You'll see the one nerdy guy who transformed his appearance, but on the inside, he's still the same.

Outside transformations are easy, all it takes is dedication.

I'm in process of a self-makeover. I am currently 210 lbs (but 6'2"). I have a layer of fat covering my stomach, and my love handles are becoming love shelves.

I am workout out every other day: rowing machine, weight machines, free weights ... as well as push-ups, pull-ups, and crunches. If all goes well, I'll have cut arms, chest, and abs ... and lose the damn layer of fat.

You can be a geek and a hunk and have confidence.

I'm definintely a geek at heart. I mean I'm a software engineer for gods sake. I love playing XBox 360 on my free time. I watch like 10 movies a week. I have IRC running 24/7 on my PC. I have over 7000 posts on an internet forum.

However that doesnt mean I'm not confident, don't like to go socialize w/people, go to the bars, play sports, go to the gym, etc.

I am always told that I'm a "hot geek" from all of my GF's friends. but they say it in a good way, not a bad way.

None of the girls I know would call me geeky. I just like computers and tech stuff along with a bunch of other stuff; namely sports.

PS who cares if someone calls you nerdy/ geeky? It is just a label, it doesn't dictate who you are.
