Going from KX133 to KT133, do I need to do a clean install?

I'm switching my system from a KX133 based system to a KT133 based system. Will I need to do a clean install? Or should I be able to just transfer everything over and start everything up with no problems? I've heard that the chipsets are similar, so I figured that I might be able to get away with doing this.

Well actually when moving from a motherboard like the KX to the KT i would suggest doing a clean install to eliminate future problems from jump. It's the peice of mind that counts when you do right the first time.

Ive done it with no problems. As long as you place your PCI cards in the exact same slots as your KX board, the upgrade will be entirely painless. You might watch it detect new motherboard hardware, so after its complete, reboot and all should be well.

if you do reinstall, i wouldnt bother with a "clean" install, just reinstall overtop of the old installation, so you dont have to reinstall all your software...just your drivers for you hardware.
