Going from 8500 to 9800. Do I have to re-install drivers?

I am currently using Cat 3.4's. Can I just shutdown the PC, swap the cards and go? Or do I have to re-install drivers?

I would uninstall completely. You might get away with it but inf. 8500 specific tags and reg entries may stay in. Best to uninstall and reboot in VGA mode then reinstall with the new card.

You might want to try the new Omega drivers on driverheaven. Very good mix of the 3.5's.
