as my health degenerates to the point I cant even be up at my desktop much anymore, I finally got the best laptop I could afford, the HP 2000-2b19WM. I got it for $270 at the local walmart, seems to go for $330-350 online.

amd A300 1.3ghz dual core APU, 2x 4GB DDR3 sodimm (one of two sticks, is an upgrade I did myself), 15.6" 1366x768 display, 320gb 5400rpm toshiba 2.5" sata hdd, UPgraded from windows 8 to windows 7 x64, HD6310 video in the apu.

Anyone tried gaming on this? not the newest stuff, but stuff like minecraft with tekkit, torchlight 2, hl2 and eps, et cetra?

You're going to have a lot of lag on mine craft. HD 3000 lags with medium settings. (i5, 4gb ram, laptop)

The 6310 is slower than the HD3000.

Also, Minecraft, (Java) is actually fairly CPU intensive, so an i5 should run rings around the E-350.

It'll work - I've played plenty of MC on weaker systems. It just won't be awesomesauce.
