The people that are in the Superdome are there because they couldn't go anywhere else, right? Well, then, why is the parking lot full of cars? They certainly didn't drive there during or after the hurricane.

Why the heck did they not leave the area?

You are assuming those are their cars. Even if they are, at the time many probably thought it was a good idea or perhaps the financial burden seemed too much to go elsewhere. Maybe they didn't grasp the scope of the urgency to leave, the risks, or what would happen in a worst case scenario.

Not sure what this thread might accomplish, but it doesn't really matter if they drove to the Superdome or not. The fact is they are there now and need to be helped.

It's not full of cars. And, the cars that *are* there could be cop cars, cars of TV/Radio crews, cars left over from before the hurricane, cars of tourists who fled to the Superdome, etc.

Well, then, you're both idiots for ASSuming.

It was an honest question, but your stupid asumptions led it elsewhere. &That's* why your ilk will never get anything accomplished.

As much as every single thread on this board - do you post this in all of them?

Last time i checked cars don't float and gasoline need electricity to pump. Also, most of them are very poor WHERE WOULD THEY GO? your house?
