Going back to school to be a police officer.

Being 31 I want to try and finish school ASAP. Would be nice if MN had police a academy like some other states 🙁 Hopefully there are a few people I still know who can help me get a foot in the door. If there is any one from MN that's already a cop and has any suggestions I would appreciate any help. Thanks all!!

First, a warning. Ignore the juvenile, moronic ass clowns who will invariably come in here and talk mad $hit about cops.

You might consider trying to get in with the Highway Patrol. I'm sure you've got the age and life experience to make it happen if you pursue it.

Thanks Rogue. Looking to get on as a local Sheriff. They seem to be hiring quite often here for this. Going to be an eventful year! Getting married October 8th, then starting school, probably try having a kid soon. Plus she already in school trying to finish her doctorate.

What are their requirements? If you have some type of degree already, a department may be willing to pay for your police academy training.

A associates degree and to pass the Peace Officer Licensing Examination.
