dude, don't worry about it. i honestly don't think people are going to pick on you.

wait till you go to college. all the high school BS fades away and even the people who gave you crap throughout HS will actually talk to you with respect.

At my high school, it was nothing. There was no kind of hazing or anything I had to go through. Just being out of your element at a young age is tough enough, though.

It's not bad at all.

No one is going to can you, give you a swirly or make you do their homework.

Prepare for the hazing.

I always picked on the freshmen with bad grammar.

Seriously, just don't act like you're a freshman, and you'll be fine.

Look forward to drinking 3x a week, start partying at 1am ending at 5am and having to go to an 8 am lecture drunk as hell, and worrying about how you'll fail the piss test because you blazed 2 days ago.

I don't think it's a huge deal unless you participate in a lot extra curricular activities. Then seniority might matter. Personally, I don't think you should worry. It's only high school, just have fun.

Amen. But at the same time, don't piss the time away. Go to parties, get in on school activities... have fun. My biggest regret is not doing more while I was in high school.

I think most important is to start hs with the right frame of mind. Your purpose is to go there, study, date, meet friends, and graduate.

dont try too hard for anything...let it come naturally, and it'll be fine.

No because at that time our freshman class was still at the junior high school. The first year it was moved to the actual high school was my sophomore year.

Even though it wasn't terrible, it was still one of my worst years in school, but I don't blame that on being a freshman. It was just a horrible school, with horrible teachers, and administration...

High school was great though. Well at least my sophomore and junior years. I was more concerned with graduating my senior year that I forgot to stop and enjoy the year.

Stop using "idk".

Please.

You remind me of that annoying girl in that commercial.

"Who are you text messaging fifty times a day?"

"IDK, my BFF Jill."

Idk, but I do know a lot about computers for my age... but that's beside the point...

You should consider using high school as a place and a chance to brush up on your grammar and spelling skills.

As for entering HS - it is a slight change in environment that you need to adjust to, but it won't take long.

Everyone in this thread is lying.

You will probably not make it through the first day alive. Wear a sumo suit to be sure.

when i was a freshman, it didnt feel as bad as everyone makes it seem, but as i went on to sophomore-senior, i realized that it kinda sucks being a freshman, cuz i personally dont like them, mainly cuz theyre 2 feet shorter than i am and have screechy voices. but when i was a freshman, i didnt feel so left out or ostracized from the rest of the grades. seniors and juniors were really nice to me and such. as a senior, i really dont associate with anyone younger than juniors, not for any particular reason.

That?s why you have as much fun as possible. I know it sounds bad but try to lose your conscience when it comes to dating. Girls are so impressionable at that age, you can easily hop around and discoverer what you?re looking for in a wife for later on in life. I got into a punk band when I went into high school, and just took advantage of that situation. Dated, dated and dated and now 15 years later still see it as beneficial. Went to an alternative school and just partied. As long as you graduate and aren?t looking to go to Yale or Harvard, just have fun. High school is meaningless.

it was good for me. but i became friends with seniors early too.

fyi, posting on these forums this early may not help with your high school life

Yeap, same here... I go to community college, such a nicer atmosphere than high school. Plus the freshmen are really annoying and they carry that until probably the end of sophomore year... or the end of their HS year (heh, I still might)...
