If your not going to stick to known good legit sites like Newegg and Amazon, id suggest sticking with well rated sites from that site if not another reputable ratings site. keep in mind you'l need to learn how to interpret the ratings properly though, cause if you just glance at it... it shows 10 outa 10 rating for that site, but theres only 1review in the past ~6months for it... Thats bad and means you should ignore the 6month rating and look at the comments listed bellow it past the 6mo period, which dont look good.
...that basic strategy works with most review sites, tho keep inmind you have to use common sense tward review sites aswell cause just like anything else non reputable review sites will be corrupt and bias to beggin with.
I havn't used resellerratings in a long time its just 1 that i could remember which was reliable that i know of for the most part.. The ratings will be bias tho as stated above if theres TOO Few reviews so use common sense
EDIT: for your reference for example look at Newegg on the resellerartings site, It has over ~1000 reviews in 6months. see what i mean
Awful seller. They sell hard drives claiming to be new but are really refurbs or used. They sent me a "new" hard drive in an envelope. I guess sending a fragile hard drive in a box was too much for them. The drive had scratches all over it and looked like it was relabeled. The screws were partially stripped so somebody opened it. The manufacture date on the label said March 2011. I have a claim against them but instead of replying they are waiting it out to the last day thinking I might give up. Now I don't have a hard drive for my new computer build. They are the scum of the Earth
finally got an RMA to send it back. They told me the hard drive was "new old stock". Judging from the insertions scratches I highly doubt that. It was clearly stated the item was brand new. The 'ole bait and switch marketing practices
Their feedback actually looks pretty solid. Plus, if they send you something other than what they advertise you will have ebay to help you sort it out.
