GOG - Witcher EE Director's Cut problem

Are you sure it's censored? Not all of the cards are nude and IIRC there is no real animated nudity aside from the dryad.

I think there was a wiki somewhere that has the censored and uncensored versions of the cards for comparison, but I haven't checked it in years.
 
The first card you get doesn't have nudity regardless of version. I thought the same thing when I first played through it lol.
 
I just bought this version too and presumed that it was uncensored given the Dwarf's "Fuck off" line if you press him about X.

I don't really care about nudity or not in a video game, but is the dialogue censored in any way in this version and/or are there scenes missing? I presumed that 'enhanced edition director's cut' would have the entirety of what they wanted to put in.
 
Nudity would be nice and all, what i really thought that there would be more blood than there is. I want to make people explode in gory detail and occiasionally get to see tits, while playing an rpg, not a FPS.
 
Yes, false alarm. Enhanced Edition + Director's Cut = Totally uncensored. What did you expect, OP? 🙂 It's not exactly porn material.
 
I said what I expect. More blood and gore. I do like the game but I like a bloody and gory game as well. T&A is always a nice thing but not as important to me as the gore, lol
 
If you execute the combos correctly quite a bit of blood does come spraying out. Just doing a single slash or even 2 hit combo doesn't show too much. But with 3 you see blood flying quite a bit.

Seriously! I don't think a video game character has ever told me to fuck off. I'm a few hours into the game and it is well worth 5 bucks. I feel like I'm missing something though - no weapon or armour upgrades at all, my 'signs' seem to do jack squat damage/effects (upgraded fully with bronze talents).

If I get 2 ghouls at once it's a tough fight. I stun one and rush the other, or run back to the crypt opening to try to split the spawn.

First time I failed.. miserably. You need to use cat potion to be able to see in the dark.. and blizzard potion + strong style.

If you stun or knockdown a mob with ard sign you can finish it off with a coup de grace attack while it is stunned or knocked down. Much more effective to finish off stunned mobs first. Also hitting a monster via chaining attacks very often interrupts their swing animation and you take no damage.

Gear upgrades aren't a big deal in The Witcher. There are 3, maybe 4 armor sets. One is given to you (start of the game), one is from a late game quest and the others are purchased.

Weapon upgrades come on a couple of flavors. You can upgrade your swords by reforging them (with runestones for the silver sword, meteorite ore for the normal sword), and there are some unique swords as world drops and quest rewards. I believe the earliest you can get the 3 ore pieces necessary to reforge a sword is in Chapter 2. All together there are probably no more than 6 or 7 unique swords. Enemies do drop weapons but generally they aren't worth using.

Things can get pretty rough in the first few chapters til you get more skills. With the spells, you have to realize that Geralt isn't a mage. You can't fight with spells alone, they have to compliment your swordplay. Don't forget your potions, oils, etc as well. On anything other than the easiest difficulty level they're an important part of combat.

I'm guessing this is the crypt in the outskirts? Your main problem there is that you don't have a silver sword yet. (won't be long 😀) Like acx said, try to stun them and finish them - ghouls are pretty vulnerable to stuns.
