GOG pulls Fallout Series

I wonder what legal issues caused this?

Bloody stupid though. Lets sell less games, thats a wonderful idea. Maybe Bethesda wants their own online store with as much DRM as possible?

Honestly..I've always wondered who exactly gets the money from these old games. I would assume one of the big 4 or so own all the rights to pretty much everything that isn't public domain and I'm pretty sure they aren't passing the new found earnings on to anyone who actually created them.

Bethesda now owns the rights to the originals. They are coming to steam soon and may be posted back to gog.

GOG warned of this a while ago, and it is the reason they offered them free...I snatched 'em, though I can't stand playing them, really. The graphics are just too archaic.

Saw this tonight...granted the short version is while they pulled it, if you already own it, you didn't lose it...yet. There seems to be quite a bit of this going on lately.
Keep a backup of the installer somewhere and you'll never lose them. That's the beauty of DRM-free.

As BFG10K said, with GOG.com if you already own it then you'll never lose it or have it retroactively taken away. Just backup the installer file to your backup drive / USB stick / burn to DVD-R/BD-R. No DRM = it's yours to keep for life.
