GoG just called me out...

I was thinking Good Old Games...ya know from the early days. It just didn't occur to me to think of 2001 as the good old days, when I think of the "old days" I think of the early 90's...haha.

Hence, "GET OFF MY LAWN!"

It is king of amazing that Castles, Stronghold, and Lords of the Realm eventually grew into Total War.

You know what else blended into that...Battle Chess on DOS.

Am I missing any games ?

GOG actually has games from as recent as 2008 (King's Bounty: The Legend). So, I guess less than 3 years is all it takes for games to become old. 😛

Speaking of old fantasy castle games, does anyone else remember Siege by Mindcraft?

Looking at screenshots of that game, unfortunately, I somehow missed out on it. Which is weird because it looks like the type of game which would have been 1st on my list.

I am thinking of a fantasy castle game. I remember it would line almost 2d units on the left and right side of the screen when one had army combat. I also remember it put you into first person view when you raided a castle. Does anyone recollect an older game like this.
