For me the Gneeforge series is just too old (graphics). The newer avernum (5,6 and the remake) as well as avadon have decent graphics. I just checked gog and avernum is not there 🙁

Maybe, but few play any of the games for the graphics. I don't notice that much difference.

But, the new Avernum 1 is on Steam - and was on sale 66% off until 3 hours ago.

I have Avadon from an earlier Humble Bumble, but I couldn't get into it. I couldn't quite figure out the controls to know what I could do or how to do it.

I have played Avadon on my iPad, and it's a really good old-school RPG, similar in style to baldurs gate, but with turn-base combat. The writing is good, and the game is quite fun. I haven't played the other games from Spiderweb, but I heard great things about the dev.

There is also the daily deal thing for chronicles of riddick. Anyone played the game? Looks interesting and it's cheap enough, but I'd like to hear some real opinions.

HOORAY!

Wait, thats a lot of games.

Anyway, the only thing they're lacking is a proper campaign manager like Starcraft had. I like being able to click on each race and mission to see what I've done. In fact theres too many games which dont have that.

Whelp, bought disciples and disciples 2, the riddick game, and sacred gold. I love gog and want to support them, and these sales make it easier. I just hope they get more new (indie) games in the future.

I never played Port Royale 2, but the original was a lot of fun. A lot like the original Pirates!

i've come across several instance of their version being unable to use the final patches for a game as they no longer provide support for the title even though the developer did for the version he or another publisher sold.

Bought, even though I already had this on Steam.

Why?🙂

I had the usual experience... 'Hm, Darkstar One... looks like it might be an interesting sci fi game... might be worth the price on sale, click add to cart...

Wait, check Steam... ya, already own it.'
