Gog 2013 summer sale

From the GOG site - 500+ GAMES ON SALE · NEW DEALS EACH DAY · ONLY UNTIL JULY 5

Definitive Dungeons and Dragons

Torchlight for free for 48 hours

The Witcher 2 is on sale for $9.99

The Witcher enhanced edition in on for $4.99

2 and a half weeks of sales.

All kinds of games on discount, to many to list.

Some I am interested in are Total Annihilation and Dark Reign.

I used to have Total Annihilation, but the CD was loaned out to friend and he lost it.

I remember seeing Dark Reign in the late 1990s and have always wanted to have it.

I would love to see the Ultima games go on sale. I don't remember if they have them, but would like to see the Kings Quest series as well as Space Quest, or even Wing Commander series.

There are TONS of games on sale (even today). Some of the ultima and Kings quests are on sale. Just easier to go there and search for a game you are interested in.

I got the dungeons and dragons pack a while back. I am not a big graphics aficionado, but I find it hard to play those old games like BD and ID. They seem really difficult too, combat wise. I was really excited to get them, but so far have just started a couple and quit.

We had no hand holding back then. We were taught by being beaten down and playing smart, something sorely lacking in games today where everyone is a winner.

Not aimed so much at all you, just a funny observation on how games have changed as they have become more popular.

Best suggestion I can make is, there are probably youtube videos that can give you a quick how to on stuff and make your life easier.

Its a Gen Y thing, they have diffent views on competition & failure. Raised during different times.

Oh...the days of memorizing Tyson's punch pattern. You know, I beat that game in 2 days (borrowed from some friends..you know..back when borrowing wasn't considered stealing money from devs?). They did not believe I had beat it as they'd had it for months. So I did it again in front of them. 😀

The prices for TW1 and TW2 seem a bit high, I could swear I bought both for my brother for less. :/

Was thinking of picking up NWN2 Complete for 10 though. Possibly some of the Ultima titles.

not to threadjack...but about when to expect the Steam sale? ...or have i missed it? I honestly have not logged into Steam since ~September last year

😀

> There are also about 10 free games if you click on all games and scroll to the end.

Hmm, I wonder how this is? ULTIMA WORLDS OF ADVENTURE 2: MARTIAN DREAMS. It sounds interesting but without nostalgia glasses the graphics are eye-searingly bad 🙂
