Godfather trilogy worth watching?

i fell asleep 3/4ths of the way through the first one...

wasn't in the mood maybe. Gonna havta try again another day.

They are genius, but still - different strokes for different folks.

Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, James Caan, Robert Duval, Diane Keaton, Talia Shire, they all were outstanding.

They are pretty deep.

The first time I watched them I guess I was tired but I didnt' really like the movies.

Watching it a second time when I was more awake and could understand what was going on - the movies are great.

They're classics. If you're into movies, they're must sees, if for no other reason than the historical aspect of the film.

One and two are definitely worth watching. Three is not the greatest, but is still worth watching in the end.

Ive seen the first two probably a dozen times....dont worry after a few times through youlle get the entire plot figured out

The first is solid, the second is great, and I've never seen the third because I heard it was a travesty compared to the others.

Totally agree.

The first one is as close to a perfect movie as I personally have ever seen. Every scene in that movie is there for a reason and needs to be there. Every second of that movie is able to be taken in and enjoyed.

The second one is great too.

1 and 2 were good. Although first one seemed to have a really abrupt ending while the second one dragged on for a really long time.

1 and 2 are amongst the best films ever made, 3 should never have seen the light of day (a bit like the second StarWars trilogy)

No. They are the most overhyped ever. First one is ok, then it just gets so boring that I stopped watching half way through second (if that). I recommend against them, personally. It doesn't mean you're less of a guy. It means you have better things to do with your time.

You forgot John Cazale. He was in 5 movies in his career and all five were nominated for best picture, 3 won.

Great movies. One is a classic, very well done. Second is ok, more of a back story. Three...uh, shoulda been aborted.

Both 1 and 2 are classics. I think 2 requires multiple viewings to fully appreciate; there is a lot of information packed in, and I had a hard time following it completely after my first viewing. Both are superb movies, however.
