I need a glass cabinet door made. Just want some pricing. Can I reach someone at the late hour of 5:56PM? Nope! Every single f*cking company in the phone book closes at either 5PM or 5:30PM. Godf*cking forbid that someone want to pay for a service after they get done with their normal working hours.

Anyone want to make a ton of cash? Move to SE Michigan and open a glass store that stays open later than goddamned 5PM.

Sons a bitches.

Where are you at in SE Michigan?

Which kind of company would make that? Someone like Wallside Windows? Or something smaller?

Weakest rant ever. Small businesses are open during normal business hours. Deal.

I bet if you had to work past 5pm at your job, you would whine like a little bitch.

If there was much money to be made, the existing glass companies would stay open longer. I'd be willing to wager that the company that sells the glass installs the majority of it themselves or sells it to other contractors who install it. That was the way it was with the glass company that supplied the company I used to work for.

Actually I work 9 hours a day for a Fortune 100 company.

People dont come to my office looking to buy minor parts after business hours. They do however goto small businesses in their local area looking to pick up things that they didn't have time to do because they were working.

So WTF? You think ALL business should be open 24/7 just to wait for you to need something? Give us a break...Do your business during NORMAL business hours...Hell, even here in the great Libbie-land of Kahleeforneeya, glass shops are RARELY open past 5:00/5:30...I think there is ONE here locally that is open till 6, but IIRC, it's an auto glass only place...

What's with these sweeping generalizations? Every other post here is "The whole state of Michigan does not know how to run a business" or "All Wendy's are run by idiots"

You guys have one bad experieince in one store, in one town, and ALL of them are bad?

9 hours? Someone get this guy a merit badge! Why did you mention the Fortune 100 part of your job? To show off?

Well it's ironic that me and the OP live in the same general area(and OP I'm in Rochester) and while there are many many businesses that have late hours alot DONT. Take downtown Rochester for example, middle of the suburbs mostly family owned shops and yet they all close around 5pm....and hmmmm it seems that I've noticed more than a few shops change/go empty in the last few years down there.

Maybe it's cuz people want to be able to shop after 5pm....what a concept!

I mean if this were in some small rural town thats fine but the middle of Metro Detroit area...not so much

And I am sure whoever does business with your compnay knows its hours of operation and do business with them at those hours..

So now you snotty nosed whiny bastard, you know that in order to get a piece of glass 20" x 24" for a recessed media cabinet you are building into your wall you need to do business with the glass company by 5:30 the latest...not 5:35 not 5:56 because they work 9 hours too and want to get the fvck home on time.

now STFU, suck it up and deal with it.....the world does not revolve around you

Well Said!

Jeez, OP is a fscking dumbass. LOL he thinks if they open longer they will make tons of money. Damn what an idiot.

OP, you fail to realize that you are a special case of business for the glass company. They will have someone like you maybe once a month. So yeah, let's see, open longer business hours costing a sh!t load to do and only getting 1 customer like you. You see where I'm going with this.

If you can't see it, then you're just a blind, narrow-minded, self-absorbed jackass.

The whole point of my statement about a Fortune 100 company was the fact that its a large corporation that people dont do shopping at. Its not a grocery store, or auto mechanic or glass retailer. Its a completely different kind of business. People dont come shop at my corporation when theyre done with their work day.

Way to make that point - because it's not like 30+ companies on the Fortune 100 (including 7 of the top 10) are retailers or operate some sort of storefront that customers visit.

When was the last time you went to Microsofts headquarters to buy a copy of windows? Do any shopping at Walmarts headquaters lately?
