There's this maintance man in my development who I need a few favors from (who I'll pay quite nicely mind you) and he didn't show up the first time. This second time he stopped me in the street and said he'd show up yesterday at 1pm. Of course, 1pm rolls around and he no shows again. What makes things worse is the guy lives in my development!.

Bastard. I hate this crap. Now I have to be all nice to him and hope he shows up because I have nobody else to ask.
 
find a diffrent handyman. there are a bunch in the paper. unless you have to use him why bother?

And get a decent deal? No. Since he lives in my development he also works with the management and has access to the trashbin, and I won't have to pay someone else to haul it away to the dump.

Unfortunately I have a few small things that need done, and if I called someone else they'd charge me a fortune. I essentially just need like 1 piece of furniture thrown away, something brought up from my car and a HDTV I just bought put on a stand. If I didn't have back surgery I'd do it myself.

This is what happens when you're beholden to someone exclusively...🙁

I don't know about you, but I have very few people I'd trust to lift my HDTV onto a stand without dropping it or putting their hands through the screen...

Apollogies...I didn't know the underlying circumstances. If I was your neighbour, I would probably do it for free considering you just had sugery........although, by free, I meant beer. 😉
