Godaddy, but only because I have not used Namecheap.

But all I would do when I need a new one is compare the price. I don't care if a site si easier to navigate. As long as I can register the domain and renew it every year, what do I care how hard the rest of the site is to work with...

what about Yahoo web hosting, they offer domain names free with the hosting.
Is it any good ?

Yahoo! domains are sometimes on sale for $2.99/yr

Yahoo! web hosting is waaaaaaaaay overpriced for what you get. Unless you're a small business with an eCommerce site, then they offer nice all in one packages. Otherwise you're better off looking for a cPanel/DirectAdmin web host.

Attempted to register my domain name at namecheap.com (on Rossman's recommendation)
Worked like a charm. Piece of cake to do it.
Price was reasonable ($8.88) and includes free whoisguard.

I'm more likely to register other domain names in the near future now.
<--- has a clue now.

Again, GoDaddy sounds like the name of a porn site. It's less embarrassing to say you use Namecheap when talking to lay people.
