Godaddy vs Namecheap.com

Is either one better than the other as far as registering your domains? Or is it a matter of personal preference?

I have a couple domains at godaddy and had one through namecheap. Godaddy is a little difficulty to navigate

I have two domains at namecheap and one through dreamhost. I'm sure it's all fine, it's not like you need support and navigation only matters for the 30 min that you need to set it up.

Namecheap has less ads, doesn't try to make you buy other things, doesn't call you to ask what you thought of the service, and includes a free year of WhoisGuard - 5 packs after the first year are dirt cheap too.

There is one domain I use godaddy for though - .cc domains are cheaper through them, that's the only reason though!

Never used Namecheap but with all these recommendations I may have to try them. I've been a GoDaddy fanboy for quite some time now.

You have no idea what you're missing.

Namecheap. Less annoying ads. Free 1 year name guard.

i don't find that woman annoying at all.

but still go with namecheap.com

I'm not talking about the cyber girl in their super bowl ad, I'm talking about the ads on godaddy's site in general. Lots of ads, terrible layout and navigation. Namecheap is very clean and simple.

Namecheap for cyber protect PLUS there are coupons that make it cheaper! 🙂
Where can these be found?

I only know of coupons when you deposit $500+ with them, which allows you to get domains at $7.88 from there on out rather than $8.88/year.
