BC is not necessary, they released 1 and 2 as the God of War collection on blu-ray so you should grab that.
I played the God of War III demo on the PS3 and was seriously impressed. But I haven't played God of War I or II. Luckily my PS3 is a backwards compatible one. Is it worth it to go back and play the first two games for the sake of continuity?
Story wise, I would say someone should play GoW I and II before III. I mean, III starts EXACTLY where II ends, so...
As Kromis mentioned, you should pick up the God of War collection, which has I and II together on a single Blu-ray disc (improved graphics over the originals).
As KROMIS mentioned? Fuck... why do I even bother posting :\
Fuck, my bad. Fixed.
How much of an improvement does the collection realistically have over the PS2 versions? In other words, if you already have the latter, is the collection still worth getting?
Depends if trophies are worth it for you pretty much, though I personally thing it looks better.
