God of War III Release Date announced

Easily one of the most anticipated games of the year has finally been given a release date. Sony has announced that God of War III will be released in America on March 16th.



The box art for God of War III has been revealed as well as you can see on the right. Yes, that is Kratos giving you the evil eye.


God of War III picks up where II left off with Kratos continuing his march against the Olympian Gods.
Standard Editions of the game are available as well as an Ultimate Edition that includes a Pandora's Box replica and artwork along with digital content such as the God of War combat arena, the Dominus skin, documentary, soundtrack, and a heavy metal song. The Ultimate Edition will run for $100. Place a pre-order a GameStop and you'll receive an exclusive 'Phantom of Chaos' skin.

Not all have epic storylines but they are likely (IMHO) goty contenders.

This year has a lot of games coming out. I don't have the time or money to get most of them, though. I still need to get through my pile, and then pick up Bayonetta, Uncharted 2, and Ratchet and Clank 2.

I don't think BioShock 2 will make as big a splash as people think tbh.

GOW, ME and FFXIII are your game of the year contenders. Splinter Cell could be lobbed in there. That game looks sweet and I may pick it up.

Looks like the review NDA lifted at noon today, lots of reviews going up. 9.3 at IGN is the only one I've read so far, but it sounds like a lot of the same thing (as evidenced by the demo), just in HD, which is perfectly fine by me.

I'm taking the same approach.

I really want to play this but I need to finish up II first. Not sure how I feel about shelling out $60 for 10+ hours of gameplay, though.

I can't wait to play this. I'm 3/4 done with GOW2 from the collection but I got addicted to BF:BC2. I'll have to pry some time away so I can finish it this week and get GOWIII next week
