God damn.. why cant apple ppl make a good mouse?

I have to use it for Photoshop and After effects here and G5 workstation is pretty fast for rendering and such... but why cant they make a good ergonomic mouse? seesh..

I am used to it having just 1 button.. (using keyboard shortcuts..) but it is just so uncomfortable.

at least I got my mx510 waiting for me @ home 😛

As a convert, I will conceide that Apple has absolutely no idea how to make a mouse.
That being said, everything else of Apple's is freaking sweet.

one button, no right click= hell

I was taking a Photoshop class using mac's, they are horrible. I would like it better if the mouse didnt suck so much.

Do you even know what you're talking about?

Form over value... Yes-for the desktop towers only.
Form over functionality? Please.

I take it that you have never used OS X or an Ipod.

I tossed the mouse on my IMac the day I got it and I'm using my MS Intellimouse explorer. I MUST have my right mouse button.

I think many people missed the point of the op. This isnt a one button complaint post, its a "Why isnt it more comfortable?" For a company that puts quite a bit of thought into their products, they seem to have forgotten about the mouse.

I completely agree. Their mice hurt my hand. But, i am not surprised since they thought the hockey pucks would be fine (think imac g3, cant find a link)

Get non-Apple apps working. Windows and Linux have it all over OS X in functionality. Apple has simplicity, not functionality. Just getting adecent audio player working was a PITA...then oh, all this great stuff in OS X, and I have to use command-line tools that are not required in Gnome or KDE or Windows to get a network share working.

If you only think within Apple's box, yeah, it has OK functionality.

They aught to treat them all like the Mini--just don't have a keyboard or mouse included. Then Logitech could make a white and clear MX or G series mouse, and--*poof*--ergonomic mousing in style.

yeah, i agree.. no comfort whatsoever. but the ball scroll on the mightymouse is great.. i love that. doesn't seem like it'd be good for gaming, but I'd like to see that from logitech. However, on the right click complaints... I hear that complaint all the time from people. When I tell them to just trash it and use a different one.. they seem amazed. how many ppl actually know you can use a 3rd party mouse w/o issue?

Yup.. but then again, in the end, it's all subjective. But Windows tend to have much more functionality anyways, if you consider all the things you can do on it compared to apple.
And yes I've had a iPod nano before.. which I returned for a Creative Zen Micro because the build quality was so fricken horrid.

Okay I own the Ipod Video, and love it. I absolutley hated the eMac...why the hell is the dvd drvie eject button on the keyboard, and why do you have to drag the drives to the recycle bin to eject them?
