I never had an issue with Deathclaws either. I don't know why someone would to be honest. Just pick a good vantage point and pound away at them. Most places where the Deathclaws exist have multiple good spots to simply snipe them all without any fear of getting attacked.

Pathing on top ledges can be exploited pretty easily for sure. But if you going the melee route, deathclaws are a big problem.
