40's F here and had floods yesterday but up till thurday we had 3 inches of snow. Now it's 3 inches of rain plus the melted snow. Most rainfall I have seen here since spring many years ago.

The worst part, is that my heat/AC don't switch automatically. Had to turn on the A/C cause it was getting toasty. Then it will get cold again tonight, if I forget to switch back to heat before I got to bed, I'll freeze to death overnight. Almost a 40 degree swing in temp between day/night is ridiculous.

62F here and the snow is pretty much gone. I'm dreaming of a squishy brown Christmas.

Less than a week ago we had a low of 4F.

Last night when I was walking the dogs I could distinctly feel the two air masses bumping up against each other. A breath of warm, damp air would flow over me, and I'd keep walking, and a few seconds later it would be replaced by cold, icy air. It was wierd. Sort of like when a t-storm is coming and you feel that wash of cold downdraft, but repeated over and over.

We got a wicked ice storm last night that's taken out for quite a few trees. Lot of folks without power. So it's certainly not warm everywhere.

It's a mess here too, ice pellets, freezing rain, on top of the foot of snow we got last weekend...lets say the drive in this morning was rather stressful.

Nasty I can't imagine rain or boiling hot weather at this time of year. Sadly it will eventually happen here too, our winters already start very late compared to before.

I put some red/green flood lights outside and I was able to just encase them in snow, put water to make ice around it, even at 100w a piece they ain't moving. Snow is an important foundation to keeping Christmas decorations in place. :p

-18C here, that's about -0.4F according to Google. We don't really have much snow on the ground yet though, maybe a foot or so at most.

Spent part of the day hiking along and to the bottom of the gorge at Letchworth (Grand Canyon of the East) - in some areas, the temperature seemed to be in the 40's; and I'd change elevation by 100 feet and suddenly it felt like it was in the 70's. Seemed like a lot of layers of temperature.
