We live in a small apartment. My girlfriend really wanted a cat, and I kind of did too. So we got one. But the only place to put the litter box is in the living room...and well the cat just took a festering rankass dump, as usual. It stinks.

I thought you all should know what I have to put up with!

Um why not put the litterbox in the washroom? Don't tell me your washroom is so small it can't fit a litterbox. Just have it beside the toilet or tub.

"...what I have to put up with!"

Who wear the pants over there? Animals don't belong under the same roof as people. Should have stuck to your guns and said no to the cat. This will teach you to be wishy-washy!

I can attest to the fact that some apartment bathrooms are definitely too small to fit litterboxes in.

Well think about toilet training the cat then... just do a google search, there's tons of instructions on how to do it.

And your wife still allows you to live under the same roof as her?

Get a covered Cat Crapper.... 60% Feline Pine and 40% Clumping cat litter. We have 3 cats and the litter box in the kitchen, don't even notice it.

I find this thread utterly hilarious, due in no small part to the OP's scintillating choice of words.

I'm sorry your living room really smells like boo boo boo. Try to find somewhere else to put that litterbox.

In the living room?? LOL...

I hope your living room isn't carpeted. That's just nasty.

Put it in your bathroom where you can sweep it up...

I think you need one of those litter boxes with the tops on them. The top usually has some filters in it to filter out the funk. But, mostly, like the others have said, move the litter box to the bathroom.

On another note, those sharper image ionic-breeze things really work. You can get off brand ones now for MUCH cheaper, panasonic makes a nice one for $20 or so.

A lot of cheap food will give them stinky poo. Try the expensive max-cat(sp?)

There's no where else you could put it? It's probably not very comfortable for the kitty either. How would you like taking a crap in front of other people?

My kitty loves Max Cat! We give her the indoor formula, which is supposed to make her poop less smelly! :) She's over a year old though, so we can feed it to her.

You should make sure that the food is designed for kittens. Adult food should not be fed to a kitten. It doesn't give them the nutrients they need, and it can cause digestive problems.
