My understanding is that Allah does not bless those who engage in unjust war, but that He blesses only the just.

Let our prayers therefore be that each of us learn to KNOW what actually IS just. The the rest will take care of itself.

Just imagine how Allah sees you when you pray for those who do wrong.

And since Allah and God are one and the same the same is true of God.

I can't blindly praise all US troops when there is inadequately recognized injustice that has been done at their hands.

HOWEVER, kudos to all those who died for what is right, whatever their race, religion, or nationality. This includes a decent amount of US soldiers (like the ones who fought the nazis).

sadly, that was my family on the banks of that river. my great grandad had left on a 'vision quest' and is the only reason he and a few others survived that day. yes these atrocities still happen as i heard on cnn yesterday that an american soldier admitted they were forced to fire into crowds. i understand that war is hell, and can be very confusing, but there is a way to avoid it and we all know it, but none will admit it to themselves or anyone else.

There is a way to admit it to ourselves, 5500+ real american heros have followed what they know is right and done just that.
True heros that have sacrificed everything willingly, not just gone over there knowing they were lied to and hoped they wouldn't have to make a sacrifice following in the american tradition of apathy.

Right on! I met a guy at work that says he will never support putting kids in a firefight, because he's been there, and knows. This guy has Marine stickers all over his car, two purple hearts, and some brutal freaking stories.

yeah, you can tell the real old crusty marines who saw action, they are worlds apart from the gung ho idiots who didn't get to see action but were in country or doing pushups in the cold war stateside.

I can think of a few of these sorts right at the top of my head who were in desert storm and

act like rambo and the punisher rolled up into one and bitch about how they should kill all the ragheads and all the "hippies" here when they sat on their ass in kuwait the whole time.

-I even knew one that kept a fake skull on his tv with a turban on it, he was so pissed he didn't get to kill anyone he brags about his plastic skull! hoo-rah!

But then you go downtown and kick down some spare change to the homeless vets missing limbs from this iraqi war, they act a whole diffrent way...

No. I dont hide behind my family. I served time in the navy the same time as the cole was attacked. Timing wasnt with me and im well beyond enlistment age. I do find it somewhat humorous that that a miscreant such as yourself can put me down for serving in peacetime. You wont serve at all. Who is the coward, Id say steepletrash.
