if it tastes bad it's probably because of the method of production more than the fact that it's goat cheese. Cow cheese can taste pretty nasty too. Remember, Odysseus ate a lot of goat cheese.

I never had goat cheese until a few months ago when we took a trip to Ithica and visited a day spa. We were served grapes, sesame rice crackers and goat cheese. It was great, the next day we picked up several flavors of goat cheese. One was a garlic and some kind of herb, and another was a peppercorn. Even the non-flavored ones are good on crackers.
