So now that Newegg has gotten rid of their Monitor 70s and replaced them with these new "B" models, the prices have gone back up. I was originally looking at getting a pair of the 70s for my fronts when they were $150 or so each, but at $250 they're starting to stretch my budget. Can I go with a pair of the older Monitor 50s and 60s and still be satisfied?
I'm coming from a Onkyo HTIB where my fronts were smaller than my new center (Polk CS2) so my ear isn't tuned. I'll be hooking them up to a Denon 2310 and Pioneer 101FD.
Do I go with the older/smaller speakers or do I just wait for the next paycheck (this one isn't an option, paying off bills and such) and go with my original choice?
