Go unsecured wirless!!!

So, my network dropped out and two unsecured wireless networks popped up.

I visited one till the signal got weak. I had access to someones desktop folders!!!!!! One was called passwords or somehing like that. So tempted 😉

It's a neighbor though, so next time I see it available, I'll be otssing a text file on their desktop to let them know.

Bad idea, IMHO.

Really? Not even to let them know? Better me than some random person. I can see how somoene that is not tech savvy might take it the wrong way though.

EDIT: I'm a bit lazy, so I probably won't get around to it.

what I doin't understand is why, on some occasions, my secured network will completely disappear, and I can only pick up unsecured ones. I can sit here at my computer and *see* my router (in the room across the hall), but my computer has no idea it's there 😕 So far the only way I've found to fix it is to re-start my computer.

Why not call them and let them know? If they have any doubts you can arrange demonstrations of the dangers of an unsecure wireless network...

It's "don't argue with an idiot". They'll drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience 😛

I'm not sure who it is. It's probably one of maybe 5 homes. And I've lived here about 5 months 😉

I'd hope they already know the dnagers ... but Iwouldn't be shocked to hear the contrary.
